(Caroline's) RFL Fairy Flower Faberge Egg

(Caroline's) RFL 2008 Fairy Flower Faberge Egg & Jewelry.
The first RFL Faberge Egg was created as an exclusive item in 2006. It was the Pink Bliss Faberge Egg and came with a custom set of jewelry. The person who purchased this particular one-of-a-kind has asked me to re-release the egg. As it is a one of a kind and RFL auction item I didn't think it would be fair to release an exact duplicate. I have decided that for each RFL year I will use the same egg decor with a different color scheme. The jewelry will either be in a new color or totally recreated for each year. No two years will ever have the same exact RFL Faberge Egg & Jewelry.

For 2008 the RFL Faberge Egg is a dark tint purple with silver decorations. On touch the egg opens to reveal a basket of purple flowers. A dainty fairy can be seen fluttering all around the flowers.

The jewelry for this set is a Fairy Flower Necklace, comprised of 203 delicately placed prims. The flowers on the necklace are the same color purple as the egg with green leaves flowing around the neckline. Tiny purple flowers for earrings match the necklace to complete the look.

Designers in Seclusion RFL Prom!

Prom Date has been moved to June 14 & 15

The Designers in Seclusion Relay for Life team is proud to announce the Prom! What? You hate the Prom? No problem! There's a Prom Crashers Party, too!

Dates and times: Saturday, May 17 from 3pm to 7pm SLT
&
Sunday May 18 from 5pm to 9pm SLT.

Location: Skin City (99, 105, 586)

There will be live music, fabulous DJ'ing, dancing, and more encompassing four islands.

Scheduled to perform on Saturday night are Maximillion Kleene and srv4u Conacher. Scheduled for Sunday night are Jano Runo and Dann Numbers. Mixing it all together both nights will be Gwen Carillon. The music will be broadcast across the four regions.

Each night there will also be a very special, one-of-a-kind auction for the Prom King & Queen crowns and the Prom Crashers Party King & Queen crowns! The crowns will go to the highest bidder, and all bids will be paid directly to Relay for Life.

Only 80 pairs of tickets for each night will be available for a donation of 1500L$ per pair. Tickets are good only for the date specified. You will only be able to attend on the night stated on your ticket.

(Caroline's) Lots of New Jewelry and a New Store

I hope you didn't miss the party last night! So many of you came and I thank you all for being such wonderful company! DJ Madame Maracas streamed the tunes, and FACES Models showed off the jewelry. Paparazzi pictures on flickr. If you did miss the party then do stop by to see the new build filled with several new jewelry items. Some are available in either Gold or Silver. The Pearl Necklace that goes down the back comes in either White or Black Pearl. There is also a set for SLRFL that you will definitely want to come by and pick up. During the party there was a robbery! Oh no! It seems as if someone had stolen the party gifts, his and hers black and white diamond rings. Luckily I had a feeling something like this would happen so I had a detective on hand. After questioning the guests the culprit got scared and tried to run! Stupid Cupid Party

We're having a Stupid Cupid Party on the sim Lo Lo today. A valentine's hunt begins at noon, candied hearts inside and out of the stores, Reggae Artist Naphtali Hawks from 3-4pm and DJ Madame Maracas from 4-6pm slt.

Don't forget the Grid Wide Valentine's Hunt started this morning at 1am slt and continues until Feb 11 at 11pm. This hunt begins at Calla Gardens in the sim Sweet Sorrow where you can pick up a list of participating stores. There is one present hidden in my store.

(Caroline's) Courter Rings

A new simple and classy ring at Caroline's. This ring comes in either gold or silver with several gems to choose from. Sapphires, Rubies, Onyx, Pink Diamonds, or Emeralds are paired up with White Diamonds. It is made to be worn on the left hand, but you can easily change it to the right.

Stupid Cupid Party: This Saturday, February 9, on the sim Lo Lo will be a Valentine's Candied Heart Hunt beginning at noon slt. From 3-4pm slt will be Grand Master Reggae Artist, Naphtali Hawks, followed by DJ Madame Maracas from 4-6pm slt with 50's music and theme. This hunt will end Feb. 14th.

Grid Wide Treasure Hunt: Also this Saturday is a Grid Wide Valentine's Treasure Hunt! Over 30 designers will hide gifts for you in their stores. The boxes will be moved around randomly in the stores. Hunt begins at Sweet Sorrow sim but not until Saturday, February 9th at 1am slt and ends February 11 at 11pm slt. I will have a floating silver pendant necklace with matching earrings waiting for you to find.

Hi, Society: It's time for the Cotillion Ball at the upper east side and jewelry will be high fashion. A classy Lily, S's mother, was seen wearing a Large Stud Bracelet as she prepared the girls for the ball. That evening, at the Cotillion Ball, B was spotted wearing the diamond necklace she got from Chuck along with her stunning Diamond Bracelet. S was seen wearing a Double Stud Bracelet with Gold and Diamond Loop Earrings as she danced with her lonely boy, Dan.

Go to JIRA and vote! As of this posting this issue already has 687 votes. As stated by the op:

"Groups are far too useful and used to be limited to only 25. People talk of "cleaning out" their groups list to make room for a new one... Ridiculous. Between groups associated with online places (clubs, shops), social groups (my friends), cultural/interest groups (Llama fanciers of SL), business groups (vendor in mall XYZ), and the occasional land partnership it is very easy to max out your groups. Considering how critical groups are in managing stuff like businesses (who gets to build what where), there ought to be a way to increase the limit at least to one or two hundred."

I absolutely agree, as does NWN. We NEED more than 25 groups. Honestly, I don't see why there is such a small limit. Now go go go! vote!

I'm so excited! My new graphics card came in! yay look! I ordered all new parts and am going to build my first computer by myself. Parts will be coming in all week and hopefully I can build this by Sunday night. We'll see, since the only thing I've ever done before was switch out graphics cards. How hard can it be? My sim Lo Lo was picked as Sim of the Week in Metaverse Messenger. Honestly, they just randomly pick a sim. It is a short read that you can find here. A couple of mistakes I found were that my first store was in December 2003, not 2004. And Daequix and Solivar's store is 2t or SecondThoughts not 2xThoughts. Still, it was fun and exciting, and the article shows off my most treasured item in SL. If you can guess what that is.

Love of Pearls Earrings

Someone asked for a pair of earrings to match the Love of Pearls sets. I came up with this pair of earrings. These match both the silver and gold set because not only does the pearl change from white to black, but the metal also changes from gold to silver. Easy change on command.



After making them I asked the group who owned the Love of Pearls set. I know a lot of you do. But only one person answered, Honoria Paine. She received the pair for free!

This week the residents of Nova Albion (sims Miramare, Grignano, Barcola, and Sistiana) are holding a scavenger hunt! TP into the landing point and you will find a box with all of the clues in it! Some are easy some are hard.

Unfortunately, we have a griefer today. Please put Louie Lovenkraft on mute before coming over so that you will not be spammed by his objects. In case you are wondering, it tries to give you an object every second SUPPOSEDLY made by Ryan and Philip Linden. But, I'm sure it is a sim crasher. weee noobs.

A long day of shrooms

Today several of us went around and found most of The Great SLCC Mushroom Hunt shrooms. My inventory is on overload now! Thanks to all of the contributors! I got up to my home and tried on all of the goodies and here is what I ended up looking like. Fashion Diva, no? Definitely go out and find these goodies, there are tons! Men's Random Satchel

You've been asking for it.. and I finally finished it! A follow up to the Lo Lo Random Purse that dropped embarrassingly funny items.

This Lo Lo Random Satchel uses a menu system.

Pearl Choker Set

Pearls

I remade my pearl texture so that it is more satiny and has that shine. I've taken down all of my old pearl items and will be redoing some of them. Totally new are:

New Jewelry

First up, I was asked to make the Jade Tusk set in Ivory. It came out looking great. You get the necklace and 3 bangles. And though I don't remember who asked, I do hope you like it.

The Christmas set of jewelry was such a hit that I redid them in Blue/Silver and Red/Silver so that they could be worn any day of the week. Choose from bangles, earrings, or stacked rings.

Fun New Purse!

I've been working on this for a long time, mainly because I get easily side tracked and did a whole bunch of other stuff in between.

This purse randomly drops objects every few minutes. These are the kinds of things that you would be embarrassed about (condom wrapper, flatulant RX bottle, cassette tape) or things that are just funny (brick, kitchen sink, squirt gun). Each thing that falls out of your purse can be clicked. For example, the flatulant RX makes a fart noise when it falls out, and then another fart noise each time it is touched. The squirt gun will give each person who touches it a squirt gun. So that you can have squirt gun fights!

It was fun making this and I do hope that you enjoy it. If you like the purse but not the random crap, then you may want to purchase the non scripted version.

Hair fair is coming, as seen on Elika's blog. Yay! I also noticed on her blog that she did a celebrity look-alike. I've done this before and none of my pictures ever came up with anyone that I looked like. I gave it another try and just kept picking and picking different pictures until it gave me something. Finally, results!

Royal Blue Faberge Egg and Matching Jewelry

New Stuff!

I recently decided to make a full commitment to SL when I purchased my, yet to be received, island. Now you can count on new content every week (except next week when I will be on a cruise (yay) during the days I set aside for creating).

I haven't been releasing new hair, because when I'm not toilet papering Fallingwater's or Panthar's places, I am redoing all of the old hairs into the new 28 colors.. and omg does that take a long time. But I will still do that when I can and make new hair too. I have been holed up way too long creating stuff, that I kept getting burnt out on SL. Recently I have decided to get out of Miramare more and play. You gotta have fun, too!

Onto the new content.. Diabolique asked yesterday for some Door Knocker earrings so I made some simple sets up real quick like. She loved them and they look good.

I was on a Chinese jewelry kick and ended up making a Jade Donut Necklace, Jade Tusk Necklace, 3 bangles, and a Chinese Charm Bracelet. The charms are so cute. If you remember the old Buddha that we used to run around with for Snapshot Contests, mine was modeled after that one. Each necklace comes with 2 bangles as shown in the pictures. (Of course someone had to show me up and make a cute and even smaller Buddha.. you buddha butt!)

Happy Rezzerbirfday!

Unbelievable to think it has been 3 years since I first logged into Second Life. I remember rezzing into the Welcome Area and feeling overwhelmed by all of the people there, so I flew off! I landed in Tan and met the wonderful and now missed Viola Bach. She was so kind that I visited her often. I met Ezhar Fairlight, Lordfly Digeridoo, Nick Rhodes, Nicola Escher, Beryl Greenacre, Malachi Petunia, and Pippin Armstrong. All were residents of the sim Tan (one of the most expensive sims at the time, $3 a sq. m). We paid taxes on rezzing prims and using lights, so I was always broke. Malachi Petunia was so generous, he bought me my first plot of land in Tan. I could only afford to rez a picnic to which everyone contributed to. I wanted jewelry but couldn't afford it, so I made some. Beryl said that it was great and that I should sell the pieces that I made... so Apollo's Jewelry was born. This was changed to Caroline's Jewelry real quick. I made a giant ring for a store. The only problem was that people would sometimes not realize they could just walk through the phantom walls. My store has grown into several locations and a lot of inventory. I've learned a lot about tiny prims.

I have a lot of great memories. I remember going to Beryl's for Trivia, Stage 4 for creation contests held by Misty Rhodes, Alana Monde's for Photo Contests, Misty Rhodes' for pool parties, and Baccara Rhodes' events for most everything else.

Eventually taxes went away, land barons were born, and Second Life was made free to sign up. I am now more into hair than jewelry. My line is called Lo Lo. This name was chosen from a nickname Jauani Wu gave me. My main stores are in Miramare, where I've been since the city sims opened. I'm glad for my time in Second Life and all of the friends that I have made. I wish I would had signed up for a lifetime account, but who knew! So here's to another 3?!!

New Stores

I have been very busy building and rebuilding Caroline's Jewelry and Lo Lo. I am pretty happy with how the jewelry store has turned out and will be placing the new Lo Lo store in Miramare as soon as I convert all of the existing hairstyles into the 28 new colors. Its a lot of work! Here is a picture of the Caroline's Jewelry, located at the hub in Miramare.
