Pearls

I remade my pearl texture so that it is more satiny and has that shine. I've taken down all of my old pearl items and will be redoing some of them. Totally new are:

New double strand pearl necklace, shoulder dust pearl earrings, and pearl ring. These are available in White, Pink, and Black Pearl.

New Jewelry

First up, I was asked to make the Jade Tusk set in Ivory. It came out looking great. You get the necklace and 3 bangles. And though I don't remember who asked, I do hope you like it.

The Christmas set of jewelry was such a hit that I redid them in Blue/Silver and Red/Silver so that they could be worn any day of the week. Choose from bangles, earrings, or stacked rings.

Finally, a new necklace for your Valentine. It will be here before you know it!

Fun New Purse!

I've been working on this for a long time, mainly because I get easily side tracked and did a whole bunch of other stuff in between.

This purse randomly drops objects every few minutes. These are the kinds of things that you would be embarrassed about (condom wrapper, flatulant RX bottle, cassette tape) or things that are just funny (brick, kitchen sink, squirt gun). Each thing that falls out of your purse can be clicked. For example, the flatulant RX makes a fart noise when it falls out, and then another fart noise each time it is touched. The squirt gun will give each person who touches it a squirt gun. So that you can have squirt gun fights!

It was fun making this and I do hope that you enjoy it. If you like the purse but not the random crap, then you may want to purchase the non scripted version.

Diamond Heart Pendant Necklace

Today I have put out a Diamond Heart Pendant Necklace. It does have a twinkle that can be turned on or off.

I also found a whole bunch of men's rings that either had released in the past or not at all. They are all at Caroline's Jewelry on the sim Lo Lo.

Hair Fair and Celebrity Look-alike

Hair fair is coming, as seen on Elika's blog. Yay! I also noticed on her blog that she did a celebrity look-alike. I've done this before and none of my pictures ever came up with anyone that I looked like. I gave it another try and just kept picking and picking different pictures until it gave me something. Finally, results!

Diamond Hearts Collection

New Diamond Hearts Collection. Necklace, Earrings, Ring, and Bracelet. These pieces have a twinkle that is set to off by default. To reduce lag they are set to a separate channel and twinkle every 30 seconds or more. You can find them on the island Lo Lo in Caroline's Jewelry.

Christmas Presents Hunt

Come find the four presents hidden on the sim Lo Lo. Wonderful jewelry that was made just for this event can be found inside the packages. Bangles, Hoop Earrings, Snowflakes Necklace and Earring Set, and a Snowman Necklace! Stay for some ice skating, snowball fighting, and dancing.

Royal Blue Faberge Egg and Matching Jewelry

This Royal Blue Faberge Egg is laced with gold with a diamond sitting atop. It opens on touch. The story of the Faberge Egg is that Peter Carl Faberge was commissioned by the Russian czar to make a gift for his wife Maria. Every year thereafter another egg was made for Maria, each holding a surprise.

Along with this wonderful decoration comes a matching necklace and earrings. Two sets are available, one with snowflakes (on/off capabilities) or non scripted.

Lo Lo is up!

My island, Lo Lo, finally came up. Panthar, Nicola, Wu, and I had a great time breaking it in by ice skating (love the Skoopf skates), drag racing, flying vehicles and rezzing everything we could think of! You gotta love no lag new sims. So now onto making it laggier by rezzing a bunch of crap!

New Stuff!

I recently decided to make a full commitment to SL when I purchased my, yet to be received, island. Now you can count on new content every week (except next week when I will be on a cruise (yay) during the days I set aside for creating).

I haven't been releasing new hair, because when I'm not toilet papering Fallingwater's or Panthar's places, I am redoing all of the old hairs into the new 28 colors.. and omg does that take a long time. But I will still do that when I can and make new hair too. I have been holed up way too long creating stuff, that I kept getting burnt out on SL. Recently I have decided to get out of Miramare more and play. You gotta have fun, too!

Onto the new content.. Diabolique asked yesterday for some Door Knocker earrings so I made some simple sets up real quick like. She loved them and they look good.

I was on a Chinese jewelry kick and ended up making a Jade Donut Necklace, Jade Tusk Necklace, 3 bangles, and a Chinese Charm Bracelet. The charms are so cute. If you remember the old Buddha that we used to run around with for Snapshot Contests, mine was modeled after that one. Each necklace comes with 2 bangles as shown in the pictures. (Of course someone had to show me up and make a cute and even smaller Buddha.. you buddha butt!)

Illusion Jewelry Collections

It is my 3rd Rezzerbirfday, so I have made something to celebrate! Each Illusion set comes with both single and double strands: 2 necklaces, 2 bracelets, 2 pairs of earrings. These will be free for the next 3 days, and only in Miramare. Because these are free it is No Transfer. Oct 27th they both sets will be available for transfer and sale.

Happy Rezzerbirfday!

Unbelievable to think it has been 3 years since I first logged into Second Life. I remember rezzing into the Welcome Area and feeling overwhelmed by all of the people there, so I flew off! I landed in Tan and met the wonderful and now missed Viola Bach. She was so kind that I visited her often. I met Ezhar Fairlight, Lordfly Digeridoo, Nick Rhodes, Nicola Escher, Beryl Greenacre, Malachi Petunia, and Pippin Armstrong. All were residents of the sim Tan (one of the most expensive sims at the time, $3 a sq. m). We paid taxes on rezzing prims and using lights, so I was always broke. Malachi Petunia was so generous, he bought me my first plot of land in Tan. I could only afford to rez a picnic to which everyone contributed to. I wanted jewelry but couldn't afford it, so I made some. Beryl said that it was great and that I should sell the pieces that I made... so Apollo's Jewelry was born. This was changed to Caroline's Jewelry real quick. I made a giant ring for a store. The only problem was that people would sometimes not realize they could just walk through the phantom walls. My store has grown into several locations and a lot of inventory. I've learned a lot about tiny prims.

I have a lot of great memories. I remember going to Beryl's for Trivia, Stage 4 for creation contests held by Misty Rhodes, Alana Monde's for Photo Contests, Misty Rhodes' for pool parties, and Baccara Rhodes' events for most everything else.

Eventually taxes went away, land barons were born, and Second Life was made free to sign up. I am now more into hair than jewelry. My line is called Lo Lo. This name was chosen from a nickname Jauani Wu gave me. My main stores are in Miramare, where I've been since the city sims opened. I'm glad for my time in Second Life and all of the friends that I have made. I wish I would had signed up for a lifetime account, but who knew! So here's to another 3?!!

New Stores

I have been very busy building and rebuilding Caroline's Jewelry and Lo Lo. I am pretty happy with how the jewelry store has turned out and will be placing the new Lo Lo store in Miramare as soon as I convert all of the existing hairstyles into the 28 new colors. Its a lot of work! Here is a picture of the Caroline's Jewelry, located at the hub in Miramare.

So many colors!

28 colors! I decided that I have too many textures/colors that I like to use on my hairs, and making boxes for all of them in every hair style would totally lag the sim. So, I followed what other designers do and made boxes with the textures shown and 1 main box with the style shown. When you TP into Lo Lo Miramare, you will see two hair styles already done like this. But, of course, you want to try on the different colors. I made a non flexi basic hair style for only $1L. However, since each box contains two shades it is $2L. This is serving more as a demo for a choice of textures (shades/hair coloring), plus there will be a no modify demo for each style in the DEMO stamped shade. I named the textures demo - Shade. Already I have my latest hair style with the color changing barrettes in all of the shades. I will work on all of the rest daily while adding more when I can. TP to Lo Lo

New Flexi Hair

I made some really cute hair this weekend. It has color changing barrettes. And you can have a different color in the left and right. I also couldn't decide on short or long bangs, so you get both. There are several colors to choose from. All found at Lo Lo in Miramare!

Yay! Someone likes my stuff!

elka Lehane was sweet enough to blog about a couple of my new items on PXP. She blogged about the necklace and sandals that use the Tiger's Eye gemstone. It's a really different gemstone that someone requested on a set probably six months ago. I'm not one of those designers whose items gets blogged about every week, so it is totally awesome when someone takes note, especially someone like elka whose items are quite impressive.
