New Store and Items!

I have been busy! I took down the Miramare Towers, which have stood since early 2004, and replaced them with a roomier and easier to navigate store. Now that it is up I realize that maybe one of my old builds would go more with the Miramare futuristic theme. So, maybe later I will tear it down and rebuild. I like doing that anyways. I like the new look so it might be a few months.. maybe. (thoughts are going crazy in my head with ideas!) I'll post the pictures later.

While cleaning out my inventory I found an old newsboy cap that I made and never released. Jauani said it wasn't good enough, and that I could do better. So, I got busy with something else and never finished it. Well, I think its good enough so here it is. It comes modify/copy so you can change the color and size it to fit your head. Plus, it isn't attached to skull, so you can wear it with your hair!

I also made 3 new shoes. 2 sandals and 1 stiletto. The first sandal has is scripted so that you can change the colors of the straps. The stiletto is not hooker height. And the last sandal has a Tiger's Eye gem in it.

Another thing I found while cleaning out my inventory was this Timeless Necklace. I finished it and scripted it so the gemstones change color. So you get Ruby, Pink, Emerald, Peridot, Sapphire, Amethyst, Orange, Yellow, Diamond.. there might be more but thats all I can think of right now. You get a gold and a silver necklace in one purchase, and the gemstone changes.. so its like you get 18 necklaces! If you think about it.

I have many more ideas and a long weekend to make them!

Eye of the Tiger

No, not the song by Survivor. I just released this jewelry set that has been sitting in my inventory just waiting to come out! You get 2 sets, one black and one silver. Earrings and necklace with Yellow Radiant Diamonds and a Tiger's Eye Gemstone.

Losses

I really don't want my blog to be a whine fest. But really this has to be said.

We are losing the forums, some what. I myself think that this is a bad idea. It pretty much kept me up to date on new releases, events, hacks/exploits - pretty much everything SL. I do Not read the Events listing because it is 98% sex events, I can't possibly read everyone's blog, nor can the bloggers blog about everyone's release. The forums are great as they are, and I hope someone (maybe SLUniverse) will be the new forums to go to. It is kind of funny though, the Lindens are taking away the forums because it is just too much to moderate. Now everyone has something to say about the forum blog and the Lindens are having to read and moderate Every single comment posted to the blog. So really, why not leave the forums. But, enough about this, there has been a greater loss.

The most amazing sculpture artist has left SL. Starax packed up his things and left. We really wouldn't had let him go if we knew beforehand, so he did the right thing by leaving quietly. If he had only left his vendors though... I will cherish every item he made for me and the others I have collected. He was so funny and great to hang with, and I know he was a teacher to many people. I hope he comes back one day. Good luck to you, Starax.

New Style

I just finished up a new hairstyle. It is multi-layered and has short bangs to go with it. The bangs are detachable so you can use longer bangs from another Lo Lo Hairstyle if you so desire. Hope you like this new hairstyle, I will eventually get around to putting the last two releases in the older textures that I have. I just really hate making boxes.

Relay for Life

The auction closed today, right before it did I raised the bid to 5k for this jewelry set. It was at 2k. I plan on placing it in my store and then give the proceeds from that sale to Jade Lily for Relay for Life/American Cancer Society. So, if you missed out on it then you can still grab it. There will be only 1 ever. I will probably have it in the store tonight or tomorrow, depending on when I get it back from them.

The sims for RFL are incredible! You really need to go for a walk if you haven't yet. Everyone did a terrific job. There is also a fun scavenger hunt that will really make you check everything out in each sim.

Pink Bliss

I just sent my items over to Torrid for the Relay for Life Silent Auction. Please make sure you get a chance to get over there this weekend. I saw some really great stuff! I donated the Pink Bliss Jewelry Collection that comes in a working Faberge Egg. I'll post more about these tomorrow as I have closed SL and my notecard is in there. (TP to auction area)

New Butt Long Flexi Hair

I just put out some new hair at Lo Lo in Miramare. This hair is butt long and has flexi strands in it. It is cute and sexy all at the same time. I haven't posted this in the forums or placed it at any of the other locations yet, so if you're reading this you can grab it before anyone else! Hair comes in Auburn, Brown, Black, or Blonde. As always, the bangs are detachable so you can use bangs from other Lo Lo Hairstyles to create a new look.

Pink Hearts and Enchanting Emeralds

Earlier this year I released new wedding sets. These come with a bling on/off feature (more of a twinkle), and a hide/show for the wedding band. I had a couple requests to change 2 of the rings to different stones and add this or that. I didn't charge more than the normal fee and let them know I would release them eventually. Well, here they are. The pink heart is really cute, looks like a flower with green leaves on the sides. I would appreciate some comments on my things if you get a chance. Thanks!

Nouveau

I placed another set of jewelry out. This one is the "Desire" set reworked. I think it is much nicer now, and it comes with a bracelet. If that isn't enough, it now also comes in Black Pearl too. You can find it at my stores in Miramare, Minna, and Mocha. (slurl is in the links)

New Location and New Products

Finally, the Mocha location is finished. Well, besides little touches here and there. After near completing my build I couldn't decide on textures and ended up buying Neil's build pack. This will help me blend in more with my neighbors than to distract. I asked J-Wu for help with my roof, and he had one built in like 10 minutes. So, come visit the new store.

Now I can release some new products. First, I made a new jewelry collection. Johanna's Treasure is a necklace with matching earrings. This comes in 9 gemstones. Emerald, Peridot, Aqua, Diamond, Pink Diamond, Yellow Diamond, Onyx, Quartz, and Ruby.

In the Lo Lo line you will find a new pair of wedge shoes, called Wedgies, of course. The straps have a color changing script that will allow well over 100 colors.

Also, a fun new updo for the summer. This new hairstyle comes in blonde, brown, black, and auburn.

Oh Yay!

I forgot to mention this. Yesterday I noticed that Issue #3 of Second Style Magazine was out and my bangle arrangement was featured in the bling-less section. Yay! Now go buy it quick before we run out of them!

So SL is Three

If you don't mind I'd like to reminisce on my first months in SL.

I remember my first day online. I had the hardest time flying and smacked into so many walls. The first person I remember meeting is Viola Bach in Tan. Vi is the nicest person and I hope she is doing well. Soon after I met Nicola Escher who became my best friend in SL and still is today. Malachi Petunia bought me my first plot of land, which had only a picnic on it because I couldn't afford to rez anymore prims. But it was cute! When I went shopping and couldn't afford the things I wanted I started making my own jewelry. Beryl Greenacre suggested I sell them and tada! There it started. It has had its ups and downs, but it has been fun.

Getting rid of taxes was the best thing ever. Me not buying a lifetime account was the stupidest thing. Meeting all of you, priceless. Ha! Not! But some of you, anyways.

A conclusion is the part where you got tired of thinking. That part for me is now. Chow!

First Post

I finally got a blog of my own after my friend Nicola pointed Marketing 101 and 102 out to me. I've been meaning to make one, I just needed that nudge. Here, I will be showing you the latest releases from Caroline's Jewelry and Lo Lo. Basically, Caroline's Jewelry is .. jewelry. And Lo Lo is all about hair, shoes, belts, and hats. The main store is located in Miramare next to the infohub. You can also find some things listed on Slexchange.com and Slboutique.com. I'm getting ready to open a new store and I've been holding back on the new content for the opening of the new location. This will be soon, I hope.
