Caroline's is participating in MySecondBox for August. The item I have made for MySecondBox is a delicate chain necklace with a subtle flower and two dangling leaves coming from it. You receive matching earrings and ring. This item will only be available to the MySecondBox - Women group until September 1st. Then you will find more color variations of this set at the main store of Caroline's Jewelry. The Sweet set is an addition to the flower collection at Caroline's Jewelry. MySecondBox is based off the monthly sample subscription boxes you receive in real life, where you pay a monthly subscription fee then receive monthly exclusive samples.
Currently the program is based through a Second Life group but we are working towards a scripted version that will utilize a web server, email transactions, and a kiosk/wallet system.
How it works:

From the 1st of the month until the 28/29th of the month the group is open enrollment with a 300L fee to join. During that month 5 designers from the 15 designer pool will send out samples to the group.

Caroline's @ Culture Shock

This cute necklace is available in gold and silver. It has a single bird flying away from its cage. Perhaps it has been set free, is escaping, or simply enjoying the flight. I saw a tattoo similar to this that was my inspiration. The tattoo, however, has several birds flying away. I think it is really lovely. Hope you like it, too.

You can only find it at Culture Shock May 4-26, which opens at 4pm SLT. All proceeds from this necklace will go to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without borders). Teleport after 4pm SLT.

Fashion for Life is a fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. The theme this year is "It's Time..." In keeping with this theme Caroline's has made a vintage time piece necklace with all proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. These time pieces keep accurate SL-PST time. But, in case you want to save on script use there is also a non functioning piece included. You will find this item in Black, Pink, and White Pearl. Matching earrings are also available to complete the set.

For the Disco Deals event Caroline's Jewelry has made a necklace that is comprised of many delicate long silver links to form strands. Along with the strands are pretty jewels in rows of four. An included pair of matching gem earrings compliments the necklace. This can also be purchased with Purple, Black, or White jewels. You can also pick this up on Marketplace. What is Disco Deals?

Someone in SL sent me a message requesting a white cat version of my black cat necklace. Her friend had just lost her white cat. So sad. I made the necklace for her and heard that she really liked it! The friend helped pick out just the right white color. Just like the black cat and longer chain version, this necklace is only L$75. Right now only in my mainstore, but soon also at my kittycat shacks.

This is my first day in Super Bargain Saturday! I am so excited! What I have for you this month is a charming cameo necklace surrounded by delicate tiny pearls. Upon touching the necklace you will get a drop down menu. This menu allows you to choose from 10 Cameo Faces, set bright on or off, and resize your necklace. The white pearl version was made for Vintage Fair in November 2011. Each will normally be $200L but for Saturday, February 25 these will be only 60L.

Caroline's Jewelry is participating in this year's Festival of Sin. The theme given to Caroline's is Sloth. I found this somewhat hard to fit into. Lust, greed, envy, or vain sounds easier. As I thought about sloths, and what they would be like, I imagined them laying around and being very messy. Which led me to this necklace. I believe if their jewelry got into a tangled mess, then so be it. They would surely not untangle it or care. Hope you enjoy my tangled mess.

Sluggard is another necklace that I made for the festival. It is black cord with black and white pearls. A simple necklace that would go with anything. It was made for women, but could possibly work for men. It is resizer equipped.

Seasons Gatcha - Winter

Seasons Gatcha - Winter is going on now til January 28th. These are just three of the many designers participating in the event.

Caroline's brings Bakelite Bangles in 6 colors with a winter theme. For just L$50 a play you get the left and right arm bangle. Transfer so that you can trade them with friends.

Doppelganger introduces The Milla Pouch to their line. This is a leather clutch that comes in 36 colors and a mystery pattern. Incredible low price of L$20 a play. Transferable for trading duplicates.

Ingenue has new mesh boots in 10 colors. The Abrial Boots are only L$95 a play, and are modify/transfer.

(Caroline's) Seasons Gatcha

Winter Seasons Gatcha starts January 14 and runs through January 28. Caroline's has made Bakelite Bangles in Blues, Greens, Yellows, and Oranges with a winter theme that will bring added style to your outfit. You receive one set of six per try. Bangles for the right and left arms are provided. Though it is not necessary to wear them both at the same time.

Trade them with friends to get all of the colors.

Caroline's @ Etheria

January 1-8, 2012

This year's theme for Etheria is "Painted Ladies of the Old West." Mouse Mimistrobell and Kesseret Steeplechase have invited a few jewelers to participate in this event. The jewelers in turn invite a clothing designer to collaborate on an outfit. Most of the time the clothing is chosen first, and then a piece of jewelry is selected to go with. With this event the jewelry is chosen first, and the clothing to finish. Painted ladies of the old west were also known as fallen frails and soiled doves, among other names.

Caroline's Jewelry has chosen Anessa Stine of DCNY to collaborate with in Etheria. The jewelry consists of many chain links draping down from a choker necklace. Beads dangle from the delicate piece. Matching earrings in chandelier style compliment the necklace by consisting of many beads held together by chain links.

The clothing is called Feathered Lady. Appropriate to the them, the lower half of the outfit is made of feathers, a corset on top that is tied in the back, and long black stockings with a back seam.

You can find these in Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby, and Black.

I am leaving town before Etheria opens, but I'm sure you will get the LM from one of the other amazing designers.

Caroline's is participating in a new event called Four Corners. Hosted by Emily Kaestner of [croire]. The list of participating designers will make your head swoon! I have made a necklace of pearls from large to small, and with tiny little dainty pearls perched atop the fancy bead caps. You can only pick this up at the Four Corners event which opens on December 17th and closes on the 31st.

For December the designers in Collabor88 get to bring a prom date. I was so thrilled when Betty Doyle asked me!! The theme was totally not what I am used to making. But, I wanted to stick to it. After all, I am a guest. The theme is Winter's Edge. Haute Punk. And the colors are in the gems necklace. I think I pulled it off. What do you think?

Rainbow for Luna

This image isn't as much about what I am wearing as it is about who it's for. Luna Jubilee has done so much for the fashion community that we are showing her our appreciation with a Rainbow themed fashion picture. The conclusion of 52 weeks of color was recently. I find it amazing that Luna made a 52 week challenge and posted every single week! A lot of you joined in with her. Committing to something weekly is quite the challenge. I didn't participate in the challenge because, quite honestly, I am too lazy. But, I do appreciate Luna Jubilee. Thank you Luna for everything that you do!
